About Ignite Software

Based in Llanelli, South Wales, Ignite Software has over 8 years experience in designing, building and maintaining software systems and websites primarily using the Microsoft .NET web stack.

In addition to the .NET platform, Ignite has also delivered software using HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and PHP.

Experience

Ignite Software got its first bout of experience of professional software development back in 2018, creating content-managed websites for estate agents and solicitors.

Work during this time was mostly front-end heavy, with some supporting work done in ASP.NET and SQL Server.

Shortly after, Ignite supported development of e-point of sales and sales and lettings systems for retail and estate agencies, before becoming involved in a bespoke bookings and admin system for a nursing agency.

This work focused much more heavily in back-end development, bringing with it new challenges in designing highly-scalable software and database optimisation.

Ignite then went onto create new modules (customer care and project management) for a construction management system.

Several months into supporting construction agencies, Ignite began integrating additional case sources for a conveyancing firm into a case management system.

Around the same time, Ignite also undertook substantial work for a nursing agency, overhauling a recruitment process, extensive reporting, stock control and web sales (including a PayPal integration), a custom forms designer (complete with display logic), and a suite of optimisations yielding improved performance of SQL queries and response times.

During the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020, Ignite adapted to working from home and created a website for an established auctioneer's after they decided to start auctioning property.
This involved setting up livestreams for online video auctions, and overhauling the existing auctions system within a property sales and lettings system.

Throughout the 8+ years in the profession, Ignite has also worked to provide extensive support to end-users and other IT service providers through written and verbal guidance and documentation.
